Lusso Mora (Proprietorship of Himanshu Goel) — operating as Kahgez (“Kahgez”, “we”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the choices you have regarding our use of your information. By using Kahgez (the “Platform”), you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: name, email, phone, password (hashed via bcrypt), profile photograph, billing & shipping address, GSTIN/PAN where applicable.

Transaction information: orders placed, bids made, items purchased or sold, invoices, payouts, and dispute history.

Seller information: business name, registration documents, bank account details (encrypted at rest), specialty categories, sourcing story, portfolio images, references.

Device & usage information: IP address, browser, operating system, pages viewed, items favourited, search queries, referral source. Collected via cookies and standard log files.

Communications: emails, chat transcripts with our curators, and feedback you provide.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and operate your buyer or seller account.
  • To process payments via our payment partner Razorpay (PCI-DSS compliant).
  • To dispatch, track, and insure shipments via fine-art carriers.
  • To verify provenance, authenticity, and seller eligibility (KYC).
  • To send order updates, bid notifications, dispatch trackers, and newsletters you have opted into.
  • To prevent fraud, money-laundering, brute-force attempts, and counterfeit listings.
  • To improve search relevance, recommendations, and the editorial experience.
  • To meet legal obligations under Indian law (Income Tax Act, GST Act, Antiquities and Art Treasures Act, IT Act 2000 & Rules thereunder).

3. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Payment processors (Razorpay) — for payment authorisation and refunds.
  • Logistics partners (FedEx Fine Art, DHL, Bluedart, Delhivery) — to deliver objects insured.
  • Authentication labs — for objects above ₹5,00,000 that require third-party verification.
  • Government authorities — only when compelled by law, subpoena, or court order.
  • Cloud infrastructure (Emergent, MongoDB Atlas, AWS) — under data-protection agreements.

4. Cookies

We use first-party session cookies for authentication, and minimal first-party analytics cookies to improve the platform. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features may then become unavailable.

5. Data Retention

Account and transaction records are retained for at least 8 years to comply with the Companies Act, 2013, the Income Tax Act, 1961, and the GST Act, 2017. Inactive accounts may be anonymised after 5 years on request, except where retention is mandated by law.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with per-user salts. Bank account details are encrypted at rest. Payments are tokenised by Razorpay; we never store full card numbers, CVVs, or net-banking credentials. Access to PII is restricted to authorised personnel under signed confidentiality undertakings.

7. Your Rights

  • Access, update, or correct the personal information in your account.
  • Request deletion of your account (subject to legal retention).
  • Withdraw marketing consent at any time via the unsubscribe link.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Grievance Officer at kahgez@gmail.com.

8. Children

Kahgez is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

9. Cross-Border Transfer

If you place an order or list an object from outside India, your data may be processed in India under our infrastructure providers. By using Kahgez you consent to this transfer.
